Do I need to set up an account with you?

You can book services at AMIS without setting up a full account,  all we require is a contact number and email address since we operate with a paper less policy where possible.  This will be used by AMIS staff to contact you in case of any necessary updates to your appointment.   If you wish to set up an account this can be done online.  Setting up of an account will mean that you create a history of services with us meaning that our therapists will be able to build up knowledge of your therapy and provide you with feedback and advice.

How is my personal data protected?

Amis takes data protection very seriously and invests in the necessary resources to ensure that personal data is protected through processes that are by design targeted at keeping personal data safe.  If the processing of personal data is necessary and there is no statutory basis for such processing, we generally obtain consent from the client.

Processing of personal data, such as the name, address, email address, or telephone number of a data subject shall always be in line with the general data protection regulation [GDPR].  By means of this data protection declaration, AMIS informs the general public of the nature, scope, and purpose of the personal data we collect, use and process.  Furthermore, subjects are informed by means of this data protection declaration, the rights to which they are entitled.   Further information about our privacy policy can be found within the Privacy Policy of our website at www.amis.mt.

When and how can I book my appointment?

To ensure that you book the treatment you want, when you want, advance booking is strongly recommended.  Some treatments are available every day so kindly feel free to call our dedicated team on +356 2798 8376 if you require a last-minute appointment.  Alternatively, kindly visit our website www.amis.mt for live availability of our therapists and available services.

What if I arrive late for my appointment?

Late arrival will simply limit the time for your service thus lessening the effectiveness of your treatment.  Unfortunately, you will still be charged the full fee of the appointment.

What if I need to cancel a treatment?

Our goal is to provide quality services to all our customers in a timely manner. No-shows, late arrivals, and cancellations inconvenience not only our therapists & stylists, but our other clients as well.   When you book your appointment, you are holding a space on our calendar that is no longer available to our other clients.  While we understand that sometimes schedules adjustments are necessary, we respectfully request at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations.  Cancellations beyond that time window will incur a cancellation fee as per our cancellation policy which you can find under the terms section of this website. Kindly call us on +356 27 98 83 76 as soon as you know you will not be able to make your appointment.  Bookings made online, can be cancelled online too.

What should I make my treatment provider aware of?

At AMIS all guests receiving treatments have not only the right, but also the responsibility to communicate openly with their therapist, aesthetician, hair stylist, nail technician and/or consultant about their service during the treatment. Any preferences and/or concerns should be addressed directly with the practitioner prior to the commencement of the service.  We want you our guest to feel well taken care of throughout the service so please do feel free to request dimmer lights, softer music, lighter or heavier touch, change of temperature so as to make your time at AMIS more enjoyable.

In addition, you have the obligation to let your therapist know about any health-related conditions including but not limited to, pregnancy, recent surgeries, diabetes, injuries, high or low blood pressure, heart conditions and allergies.

What if I have some physical disability or allergy?

Kindly notify AMIS receptionist at the time of booking if you are booking face-to-face of via telephone.  If you are placing an online booking kindly enter this information within the other information section when placing the booking.  You will than  be informed if treatments are not recommended for your condition.

Should men shave before having a facial?

Shaving is recommended but please be sure to do so at least two hours prior to your scheduled appointment.

I would like to tip the practitioner; how should I handle this?

Treatment prices do not include practitioner tip.  Tipping is at your discretion either at the end of your treatment directly to the practitioner or at reception when settling your account.  Management does not extract any of the tip but the full gratuity is passed on to the Amis staff.

Will I be able to purchase the products that are used in my treatment?

All the products that we use at AMIS are of the highest standards.  We endeavor to use clean and sustainable products that are certified organic when possible.  We carry a full range of products so you can continue with the benefits at home.  Kindly ask your therapist for the right products recommended specifically for you.

What is your code of ethics?

Our code dictates that all persons that are in any way delivering a service, providing a service or attending a service at “AMIS” are to abide by the highest standards of behaviour fostering honesty, integrity, confidentiality and respect.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept payment via credit card, contact less devices as well as cash.  Unfortunately we are unable to accept payment by personal cheques or American Express.

What about your Teen Policies?

We are happy to accept our young customers.  Clients between the ages of 12 and 17 may enjoy the following services without the supervision of a parent or guardian:

  • Manicures, pedicures, make-up, hair services and mini facials.
